“They replied quickly to my enquiry, was available and costed up the project. It was then all completed to a very high standard and I was really happy with the outcome (adding power sockets and lights to my garage). Second time I've used them before and will definitely be using again when required.”
How often does emergency lighting need testing?
The usual regime is a short monthly function test and a full annual duration test, with the results recorded in the log book. We can carry these out for you or set you up to do the monthly ones in-house.
What sort of fire alarm does an HMO need?
It depends on the size of the property, the number of storeys and how it is occupied. HMOs typically need an interlinked system rather than standalone battery alarms, and the grade and category should follow the risk assessment for the building.
Can you take over an existing system?
Usually yes. We will inspect what is there, tell you honestly whether it is serviceable, and quote for servicing it or for replacing it.
