What we look at first.
- Your main supply, main fuse rating and existing load
- Whether the board has capacity, or needs upgrading
- Earthing arrangement, and what the charge point needs to protect against
- The cable route from board to parking space, and how it will look
- Where you actually park, and which side the car's socket is on
- Whether load management or a smart tariff would suit how you charge
What the installation includes.
- Site survey and load assessment before anything is ordered
- Dedicated circuit from the board, correctly sized and protected
- Charge point mounted where you want it, with a tidy cable route
- Earthing and protective devices appropriate to the supply
- Commissioning, app or tariff set-up, and a demonstration
- Testing, certification and notification of the new circuit

Which charge points do you install?
We install charge points for homes and workplaces, and have installed units on both domestic driveways and commercial sites.
Are there any grants?
The EV chargepoint grant is aimed at flats and rental properties, and there is separate support for workplaces. Eligibility and amounts change, so it is worth checking the current scheme before you order.
Do I need my fuse board upgraded?
Not always. It depends on your existing load and whether the board has a spare way and the right protection. That is exactly what the load assessment tells us.
Does it have to be notified?
Yes. A new circuit is notifiable under Part P, so we certify the work and notify building control, and you get the certificate.
